Frequently asked questions.
Do you take insurance?
I am not in-network with any insurance providers. I am considered an “out-of-network” provider. Most insurance providers will reimburse some amount for “out of network” services; I will provide you with a Superbill which includes the information required for you to submit to your insurance for “out of network” reimbursement.
Do you offer virtual therapy?
I currently work primarily in-person with therapy clients in my office in Dupont Circle, Washington, DC. For clients who are in therapy with me in-person, I do offer virtual sessions in cases of travel or extenuating circumstances.
What are your rates?
My current rates are:
$225/45 min session for individual therapy
$130/75 min session for group therapy
$300/60 min session for couples therapy
How should I prepare for our first session?
I will send you my intake paperwork; please complete this online before our first session. Before our session, many find it helpful to reflect on your goals for therapy- “if I were to waive a magic wand and your life would look differently tomorrow, what would you want to change?” I will help you refine and clarify your goals, but coming in having reflected on what you are hungry for can help guide us both and help you get more out of therapy.
Can I bring a family member into therapy?
Yes! I take a family systems approach to helping you navigate your relationships. Bringing a family member (spouse, parent, best friend, sibling) in to a therapy session can help me better understand your most meaningful relationships, and can help me better support you in your therapy work.
