I love what I do.

I love that my work fosters constant growth, both of myself and my clients. I changed careers to become a therapist after 14 years in international development consulting, during which time I lived and worked in many countries around the world, including Haiti, the Middle East, and Francophone West and Central Africa. Past experience from my first career such as leadership of large cross-cultural teams, working in high-pressure environments, and learning to be effective in senior management are infused into my therapy work. I approach therapy with a lens of cultural curiosity and humility. I love working with people who have global ties such as immigrant families, bicultural relationships, or people with diplomatic, military, aid, or state department families. I am engaged in my own anti-racism work and have a passion for understanding and mitigating how White supremacy culture shows up in our world. Most importantly, I love helping people thrive, lead bigger lives, and be their most authentic selves.

My approach is grounded in psychodynamic theory, with strong relational/ humanistic influences. I have specialized training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and other trauma-based therapies. I also have previous therapeutic work experience in a university counseling center and at Whitman-Walker Health in Washington, DC. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related issues, codependency, relationship and dating challenges, and career issues such as burnout and difficulty achieving work-life balance.
